In the center of the square is a largish bronze statue of some kind of larger than life hero-with-a-sword, but you don't recognize him. Around the statue, a variety of performers (jugglers, acrobats, minstrels, etc.) are performing for the amusement of passersby. There are several shops nearby, including Tibetan Fried Chicken, Ye Olde Souvenir Shoppe, and The Addventure Bar and Grill.
The Tibetan Fried Chicken is basically just a stand-up place. The Shoppe is the sort of intentionally-quaint-looking place that businessmen seem to like to build. The Bar and Grill is a nice, old-fashioned looking tavern, except that all of the shutters are barred shut.
