The Mall [page 2]

Steve hummed happily to himself as he checked out his reflection in the mirror.

His muscular, handsome body looked fabulous in the guard's uniform. (At least, he thought so.) Of course, the old saying that 'women love a man in uniform' didn't hurt either. That was about the whole reason he'd taken this job.

With one last look in the mirror, Steve headed out to his car (an 88 Mustang, and another babe magnet.) Exceeding the speed limit by at least 25 mph, he threw the little sports car around the the few other cars on the road, screaming past them. Since the car was black with gold trim (the same color as the local police chase cars), and he was in a uniform, most cars he passed thought he was a cop. Of course, the highly illegal rotating red light he'd put on the dashboard helped too.

Finally, Steve pulled up at the mall where he was working tonight. Whistling, he locked the Mustang and sauntered over to the mall doors. He let himself in and locked the door behind him.

He was strolling along, eyeing some of the cool merchandise in the shop windows, when he heard an odd noise. He listened intently, but couldn't tell what the noise was, or where it had come from. It didn't seem to be on this level, though. The mall was huge, with two floor above, and two floors below - plus a parking garage beneath that.

Finally, standing beside the stopped escalators, Steve thought he'd figured out the location of the sound, and went...

  1. ...up the stopped escalator.
  2. ...down the stopped escalator.
